Tea Tasting & Story Circle : Mist, Leaves, and Early Spring: Taiwanese Oolong in March

A Tea Tasting & Story Circle is a relaxed, embodied mindfulness gathering for up to 7 guests. Each month, we taste and compare two to three premium East Asian teas, exploring them through scent, color, texture, and taste. Rather than analyzing tea, we tune into how each cup moves through the body—shifting breath, sensation, and subtle emotion, allowing learning to unfold through direct experience.

This March, we gather with Taiwanese oolong teas under the theme

Mist, Leaves, and Early Spring — the scent of spring.

We begin with Dongfang Meiren (Oriental Beauty), a naturally oxidized oolong shaped by climate, insects, and time. Its honeyed aroma and soft fruit notes bring warmth and roundness, often settling gently in the chest and inviting memory and quiet reflection.
